Lucius Cary - Managing Director
Lucius raised his first science and technology seed fund in 1983, after founding and exiting two successful businesses. He has been investing in startups ever since. He has a BSc in Economics and Engineering from the University of Oxford and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In 2003 he was awarded an OBE for services to business.

Andrea Mica - Director
Andrea joined Oxford Technology in 2012. Prior to this he gained extensive experience in the technology space, as an investor, consultant, and entrepreneur. He has an MSc in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology, and a further degree in Innovation and Creativity from the State University College of New York.

Bijan Kiani - US
Bijan founded and exited InCa, a FGPA Prototyping company seeded by Oxford Technology back in the 1980s. He then spent two decades with Synopsys, helping grow it from 300 to 13,000 employees. Bijan missed working with start-ups, however, and now consults our companies on the US market. He also recently became CEO of Machine Discovery.
Chenjie Ma - China
Chenjie joined Oxford Technology in 2016 as an Investment Analyst. In 2017, she moved to China to help our portfolio companies access the Chinese market, where she now also serves as General Manager (China) for SIME, a portfolio company. Chenjie gained prior experience across both private and public markets, and has a M.Eng from Oxford.
Mateusz Portka - Analyst
Mateusz joined Oxford Technology in 2022. He has a background in civil, structural, and mechanical engineering and obtained a DPhil (PhD) degree in advanced shape-shifting mechanisms from the University of Oxford. During his time in Oxford, Mateusz worked with and advised technology startups, mainly in robotics, aerospace and agriculture.
